Some things I did today: Worked out, did a job search (applied for one), worked on my Pentago program for around 7 hours.

I don't have much to say about my Pentago program yet. It doesn't work. Right now I'm just working on the game board and input controls. Rotation animation and such. I got stuck for a while on trying to rotate an object around a point not contained within the object.

Back to this.
I didn't do much over the weekend, and I extended the weekend by two days. Played Oblivion, cooked, worked out a little.

Today, though, I managed to get about 3 hours of work in on my Pentago project! OK, it may have been a little less, since I also worked on getting what I have of Pentago and my project euler programs into Mercurial (and making sure it all worked). Plus, today, I worked out and had an extended lunch with Toni (who is also currently unemployed). And I even spent a little time on piano practice.

How is it that I felt like I was busy all day yet didn't get to my programming?

1. I had a really good gym workout. About an hour after I got home, a wave of exhaustion hit. I went to bed and set my alarm for an hour long-nap. My alarm went off, and I hit snooze. Nine minutes later, the alarm went off again, and I hit snooze again. I repeated the cycle for about two hours.

2. Two weeks of laundry takes much longer to do than I think it should, especially the folding and putting away.

One of the reasons I'm doing this blog thing is to help prevent me from having days like today.

I cooked, I ate, I napped, and I played Oblivion. I had a day of undeserved rest.

I'm embarrassed.

My second day of unemployment, and not much to show for it.
